Approach
In my work with children and adolescents I utilize a combination of play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and art therapy elements. Play therapy allows children to express themselves in a natural and comfortable way, while CBT techniques help them understand and manage their thoughts and emotions. Incorporating art therapy elements provides another creative outlet for children to communicate and process their feelings. By combining these approaches, I aim to create a supportive environment where children can explore, heal, and grow.
The treatment of Specific Learning Difficulties is based on two main strategies: specific assistance with the impaired learning areas (reading, spelling, attention, working memory) and therapy for any coexisting psychological disturbance that may be present.
